NEVZ-Union

Novosibirsk Electrovacuum Plant - Union (formerly - Plant No. 617 ) is an enterprise located in the Zaeltsovsky district of Novosibirsk . It produces electric vacuum devices, various types of ceramics, etc. It was founded in 1941.

History

War period

The enterprise was founded on the basis of the Svetlana Leningrad Plant No. 211 evacuated at the beginning of World War II. The first workshop started working began to produce military shells, as well as stabilizers for rockets, manufactured until 1943 [1] .

After the launch of the main production, the production of profile products is growing, at that time the enterprise was the main manufacturer of the most labor-consuming reception and amplification lamps, of which six items were produced only here. More than 70% of all lamps for radio communications between the Red Army and the Navy were produced at Plant No. 617 [1] .

Post-war period

Since the early 1950s, the plant has launched the production of on-board and ground-based equipment lamps for space technology and rocket systems [1] .

In 1953, the House of Culture "Energy" was opened for the enterprise [1] .

On June 17, 1961, four engineers and technicians were awarded orders and medals for the creation of rocket technology samples for the Vostok-1 spacecraft [1] .

In the mid-1960s, the company became the largest manufacturer of electronic components in Russia. Here, miniature titanium-ceramic lamps of the microwave range of waves are created for space objects, aviation and rocket technology [1] .

In 1970-1980, the plant developed the production of semiconductor devices [1] .

Russian period

In the 1990s, due to a reduction in defense orders, output fell sharply. Production growth resumed only in 1998 [1] .

According to the data for 2002, the NEVZ-Union included seven subsidiaries [1] .

In 2011, NEVZ-Soyuz together with Rusnano created the company NEVZ-Ceramics [2] .

The company manufactures semiconductor devices, products for automotive electronics, microwave devices, creates products from refractory metals, electrophore and ceramics, produces complex devices for medical organizations, etc. [1] .
