Biography

Born on November 20, 1979 in the village of Reklinets, Sokalsky district, Lviv region.

From 1986 to 1997 he studied at the Reklinetskoy secondary school. In 1994 he also graduated from an art school in the city of Great Bridges .

In 1999 he entered the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy, which he graduated in 2003 in the first category.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Jacob of Lutsk and Volyn (Panchuk) , on April 17, 2003, Bishop of Chernigov and Nezhin, Mikhail (Zinkevich), was tonsured a monk with the name Mark (in honor of St. Mark the Ascetic of Kiev-Pechersky).

With the blessing of Metropolitan Jacob of Lutsk and Volyn, on April 18, 2003, in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Lutsk, Bishop Chernigovsky and Nezhinsky, Michael was ordained to the rank of Hierodeacon , and on April 20 of the same year in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Lutsk (Metropolitan Panotkov) He was ordained hieromonk .

By the decision of the pedagogical council of the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy since September 2003, he was appointed confessor of the educational institution.

Since 2007, he was the confessor of the convent of the Nativity of the city of Vladimir-Volynsky.

From 2006 to 2007, he served as the viceroy of the monastery of the Nativity of Christ in the city of Lutsk, as well as the rector of the local parish of the Great Martyr Dimitri. During this period, he was the confessor of the Youth Orthodox Brotherhood of Nikolai Svyatosh, Prince Lutsk.

On October 13, 2007, he was elevated to the rank of abbot and appointed secretary of the Volyn Diocese (UOC-KP).

In November 2008, with the blessing of Patriarch Filaret (Denisenko), he was relieved of all posts and obediences in the Volyn diocese and transferred to the clergy of the Kiev diocese from enrollment in the brotherhood of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery .

From November 2008 to January 2009, he served as Secretary of the Patriarch Filaret (Denisenko).

On January 8, 2009, Patriarch Filaret was elevated to the rank of archimandrite during the service in St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral of Kiev.

On January 25, 2009, by decision of the Holy Synod of the UOC-KP, he was elected to be ordained bishop of Kirovograd and Golovanovsky .

On February 1, 2009, Patriarch Filaret (Denisenko), accompanied by Metropolitan Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Dimitri (Rudyuk) , Archbishop Michael of Lutsk and Volyn (Zinkevich) , Cherkassky and Chigirinsky John (Yaremenko) , Bishops of Kharkiv and Bogodilovgov Nizhovyonovskiy Lovogyonovskiy Lovogyonovskiy Lovogyonovskiy Lovogyonovskiy Lovogyonovskogo Lovogyonovskogo Lovogyonovskogo Logovyogonovskogo Lovogolovnogova Logovyogonski (Protsik) and Vasilkovsky Eustratius (Dawns) were ordained to the rank of bishop of Kirovograd and Golovanevsky [2] .
