The southernmost settlement of the region. The village is located near the junction of the borders of Moscow, Ryazan , Tula regions, 22 km south of the working village of Serebryanye Prudy , 70 km east of Tula , 78 km south-west of Ryazan , 90 km south of Kolomna and 160 km from MKAD . It is located in the basin of the Yaveria River (a tributary of the Prony ).

Near the village passes the highway Kashira - Kimovsk (to Dankov ).

According to 1859, Kormovoye is the owner's village of the 1st camp of the Venevsky district of the Tula province on the right side of the tract from Zaraysk to Epifan , 25 versts from the county town and 26 versts from the flat, with a pond, with 58 yards, an Orthodox church and 554 residents (273 men, 281 women) [2] .

Since June 1924 in Serebryano-Prudsky district (the district was part of the Tula province / Tula district / Tula region, in December 1942 it was transferred to the Moscow region) [3] .
