In 1646, clerk Ivan Baibakov, under Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, was sent as an ambassador to Holland [1] together with the stolnik Ilya Danilovich Miloslavsky , in order to invite the Republic of the United Provinces of the Netherlands to approve the friendship and love between them and Russia, to seek out officers in the Russian service and various artisans and explain the complaint against the Tula breeders Akem and Marcelis [2] .
On September 10, they set off from Arkhangelsk to Gaga, where they arrived on November 19 and were soon admitted to the Prince of Orange. After staying in Gaga for about six months, I. Baibakov and his comrades returned and on October 9, 1647, submitted to the tsar letters of the Republic of the United Provinces of the Netherlands with requests for privileges for the Dutch and apologies for Akem and Marcelis [2] .
Since 1651, Ivan Baibakov was a judge of the Moscow Judicial Order ; and in 1654 he was in the Order of the monetary and grain collection [2] .
In December 1661, during the Russo-Polish war , Baibakov was sent to gather military people [2] .
In 1662, after the expiration of the Valiesar Armistice concluded during the Russo-Swedish War of 1656-1658. Ivan Baibakov was in Novgorod in the commission on the demarcation of the Russian kingdom with Sweden [2] according to the Cardis Peace Treaty , which obliged Russia to return all Livonian and Ingermanland conquests to Sweden, confirming the terms of the Stolbov Treaty . The Cardis peace remained in force until the start of the Great Northern War in 1700 [3] [4] .
