Whiskey Lake is the code name for the family of eighth-generation Intel Core processors . This family uses an optimized technological process of 14 nm and is an evolution of Skylake microarchitecture, following Kaby Lake Refresh and Coffee Lake . The availability of mobile processors of this generation was announced on August 28, 2018 [1] . Whiskey Lake chips received the first hardware fixes against the vulnerabilities Meltdown and Foreshadow [2]
