Biography

Born June 3, 1922 in the town of Kromy, Oryol Region. He graduated from school in Murmansk, entered the Murmansk Teachers' Institute .

Since 1939, he worked as a literary associate in the editorial office of the Murmansk youth newspaper Komsomolets Zapolyarya .

During the war years

Member of the Great Patriotic War. In the Red Army from 1941, graduated from the Leningrad Infantry School .

From August 1942, at the Stalingrad front, he served as lieutenant in command of a machine-gun company in the 451 rifle regiment of the 64 rifle division .

He is the author of collections of stories and essays published in the 60-70s in Murmansk: “People are different” (1961), “The Wreck of Captain Sizov” (1961), “Fresh Wind” (1963) and others.

In collaboration with V. P. Antsiferov, he is the author of the documentary novel Last Turnout, published in 1966, the biography of Bolshevik Ivan Alexandrov . [2]
