The 14th European Men's Handball Championship will be held simultaneously in three countries of Austria , Norway , Sweden from January 9 to 26, 2020 . For the first time, 24 European teams will take part in the tournament.
- Austria hosted the European Handball Championship in 2010. The tournament was held in five cities.
- Norway hosted the European Handball Championship in 2008. The tournament was held in five cities of the country.
- Sweden hosted the European Handball Championship in 2002. The tournament was held in six cities of this state.
