The Pettenkofer Palace ( German: Palais Pettenkofer ) is a former city palace located on Schirmgasse Street in the Lower Bavarian city of Landshut . The building was built in the XVII century, probably as the residence of the scientist Eberhard Adolf von Muggenthal, who owned the house from 1626 to 1655. The facade of the building was designed by Johann Wilhelm von Pettenkofer around 1770 in the Rococo style ; is an architectural monument . In 1870, the palace became civilian property. A hotel appeared in the building, Landshut's brasserie, and then an Italian restaurant appeared.
