General Information
Sports career
Sarah Sorribes Tormo made her debut at the WTA in Rio de Janeiro in 2015.
In April 2018, she managed to win the doubles at the tournament in Monterrey. At the Wimbledon tournament, Sarah for the first time at the Grand Slam tournaments proceeded to the second round of the competition in singles.
At the 2019 Australian Open, she lost in the first round of competition Anette Contaveit.
In April, at the tournament in Bogota (Colombia) in the singles Sarah reached the quarterfinals, but lost to the Brazilian Beatrice Addad Maye in a three-set match, leading 1-0 after the first set. At the same doubles tournament, together with compatriot Lara Arruabarren, they reached the semifinals, but lost to the American pair Haley Carter / En Shibahara in two sets with the same score 6-3, 6-3.
In April 2019, Sorribes, along with compatriot Maria Jose Matines-Sanchez, took part in the doubles at the Lalla Meriem Grand Prix tournament, where they reached the final and beat the pair Heorhin Garcia Perez (Spain) / Oksana Kalashnikova (Georgia) in a two-set duel against 7-5, 6-1 and won the title in doubles.
At the 2019 US Open, she lost in the first round to Anette Contaveit in two sets.
