Biography
Born in Moscow in the family of an outstanding Soviet and Azerbaijani geologist and teacher, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences Ali Amiraslanov . After graduating from school, she decided to follow in her father's footsteps and was educated as a geological engineer. However, she was destined in literature to truly realize herself as a creative person.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Baku-based Ganjlik Publishing House published a number of collections of children's fairy tales authored by Elvira Arasla. The books "Butterfly and the Wind", "Tin Island", "Magic Zar", "Pink City of Antelope" fell in love with many young readers not only in Azerbaijan, but throughout the Union. In total, Elvira Arasla has written more than ten books for children and adults. She is a member of the children's section of the Union of Writers of the USSR, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia and Azerbaijan, a member of the International Federation of Artists . Her books are published in Russia, Azerbaijan, and in many other countries.
In connection with the diplomatic work of her husband Elman Arasla , she has been living in Arab countries for more than forty years. And there he continues to show his remarkable writing talent. In the 2000s, historical and cultural books about the countries of the Middle East - “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the eyes of the spouse of a diplomat” and “Jordan - my love: notes of the ambassador’s wife”, came out from her pen.
Elvira Arasla clearly manifests itself not only in literature. She paints, embroiders tapestries, weaves macrame and lace. And this is not a complete list of the gifts of this amazing creative woman.
