History

In 1987, an aerobatic team was organized on the basis of the Vyazemsky UAC . For the created air group, ten L-39 aircraft were transferred to the Vyazemsky Training Aviation Center. On August 18, 1987, a group of ten aircraft (nine aircraft performed group aerobatics, one - solo aerobatics) took part in the air parade in Tushino . This was the first public appearance of the new aerobatic team [1] . The demonstration program of Vyazma pilots was watched by over 800 thousand visitors to the parade, as well as viewers from all over the USSR .

Soon, at the end of 1987, Colonel Yuri Dmitrievich Bykov was appointed the head of the Vyazemsky Training Aviation Center and the leader of the aerobatic team. The program of the aerobatic team was improved, and was also repeatedly shown at various celebrations.

On June 7, 1991, the first aviation disaster occurred in the history of the Vyazemsky Training Aviation Center. During the flight mission, the L-39 crashed under the control of the head of the center, Colonel Yu. D. Bykov. The pilot died. The leader of “Rus” was Evgeny Burchanov, Deputy Head of the Training Aviation Center. June 26, 1992 during the development of a new element of aerobatics crashed plane V.E. Arkhipova. The pilot died.

Since 1992, the Vyazemsky Aviation Training Center and the aerobatic squadron “Rus” have been headed by reserve instructor Colonel Reserve Kazimir Eduardovich Tikhanovich [2] . Soon Tikhanovich faced a serious obstacle - the government decree issued on May 12, 1992 on the liquidation of all training aviation centers threatens the fate of the aerobatic team and training base. Ignoring the orders of officials, the group continues training, proving the necessity of its existence. As a result, the Vyazemsky Aviation Training Center was renamed the Vyazemsky Aero Club , and the aerobatic team continued their performances.

In 1997, the Rus squadron made demonstrations in the Czech Republic , visiting Prague and Hradec Kralove . The team was highly praised by foreign experts. The professionalism of Russian pilots was especially noted by the representatives of the aircraft manufacturer L-39 - the company Aero Vodohodki . As a gift, they made spectacular coloring for group airplanes for free [3] .

Aerobatics

The aerobatic aerobatic team "Rus" has its own program of performances, containing various elements of group and solo aerobatics. The overload experienced by the pilots ranges from −4 to +8. [13] The minimum distance between aircraft during flight is one meter.

Group aerobatics

  • “Passage through the ranks” is an element of oncoming aerobatics. One plane goes through a system of six aircraft.
  • “Fan” - a single plane performs a barrel around five planes flying in the rhomb formation. It was originally carried out with just two planes - one makes a barrel around the trajectory of the other.
  • "Mirror" - the passage of a pair of aircraft with landing gear released, the presenter makes a half barrel and begins an inverted flight. When flying in front of the audience for a short time, the impression of a “mirror reflection” of the slave aircraft is created.
  • “Cross” - a group of planes flies in the “cross” formation (Christian). This figure is performed by a group of 6 or 9 aircraft. In a group of 6 cars, the aerobatics element is performed as follows: four planes are arranged in a row behind each other, and two more are symmetrically on each side at the level of the second aircraft in a row; in a group of 9 aircraft — five planes are lined up sequentially in a row, the remaining four — symmetrically in pairs on the sides of the second in a row.
  • Dissolution "Fountain" - performed by four aircraft.
  • Dissolution "Tulip" - is carried out by six aircraft.
  • “Heart” - Two airplanes (or two links - six airplanes) draw a heart-shaped figure with a white loop, a single airplane - “arrow” “pierces” it.
  • “Four barrel” - four planes make a barrel around their trajectory (at the same time there is a “revolution” of the system, and then return to their original positions).
  • “Double barrel” - is similar to “Four barrel”, but two planes carry it out.

Single aerobatics

  • Flight on PMV - the plane flies over the runway with the landing gear released, after which it removes them and continues flying at an extremely low altitude equal to one meter. The speed of the aircraft is 400 km / h.
  • “Bell” - see. Bell .
  • "Rising corkscrew" - a barrel with a climb. For the first time on L-39 performed by the soloist of the group "Rus" Valery Sobolev.
  • “Landing of a drunk pilot” - when landing, the aircraft begins to perform sharp maneuvers with gain and loss of altitude.
