Jesse Ross ( born Jesse Ross ; born February 9, 1990 , Brisbane ) is an Australian boxer , middleweight and welterweight. He played for the Australian boxing team in the late 2000s - early 2010s, champion of the Australian national championship, participant in the Summer Olympic Games in London .

Biography
Jesse Ross was born on February 9, 1990 in Brisbane , Queensland , Australia . He is a representative of the Australian aborigines [1] . He was trained in the Gold Coast in the Nerang PCYC hall.
First announced himself in boxing in 2006, becoming the silver medalist of the Australian Cadet Championship.
In 2008, he won the Australian Youth Championship and won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games in India.
Since 2009, he boxed at the adult level, in particular, at the Australian Championship he reached the quarterfinals of the middle weight category.
In 2010, he joined the Australian national team, performed at two international tournaments in Cuba, although he could not get into the number of winners.
In 2011, he was the second in the standings of the Australian national welterweight championship, performed at the Usti Grand Prix in the Czech Republic and at the Gee-Bee tournament in Finland, took part in the home Arafura games.
Finally, in 2012, Ross won the Australian Middleweight Championship. He noted his performance at the international tournament "Belgrade winner" in Serbia. Thanks to a series of successful performances, he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the Summer Olympics in London , but already in the opening duel of the category up to 75 kg with a score of 11:13 he was defeated by Algerian Abdelmalek Rahu and immediately dropped out of the fight for medals.
He played at the Australian Championship in 2014, but was stopped here already at the preliminary stage [2] .
