Bujor Halmejanu ( rum. Bujor Hălmăgeanu ; February 14, 1941 , Timisoara - November 23, 2018 ) - Romanian football player (defender) and coach. Known for playing for the Steaua club and the Romanian national team . Member of the 1964 Olympic Games [4] .

Career
Club career
He started playing football at the Victoria Timoshary club in his hometown. In 1958 he moved to another club from the same city - Stiinta , in two years, by 1960 he had won a place in the first team. In September 1960, he played the first game in the elite division of the Romanian championship . In 1962, his game attracted the attention of the coaching staff of the Steaua club from Bucharest ; he began the 1962/1963 season as part of the capital's club. He did not have a stable place in the main squad, balancing between the main team and the backup squad, but this did not stop him from winning the Romanian Cup [5] and silver championship awards with the club, missing Bucharest in the Dynamo standings.
In 1964 he was leased to the Petrolul club, where he played in the main team, having played 31 games in a season. In the summer of 1965 he returned to the Steauy location and entrenched in the main team. In 1967, he won the Romanian Cup, in 1968 he became the champion of Romania [4] . Subsequently, the Romanian Cup he won in 1969, 1970 and 1971 [5] .
In the summer of 1973 he left the Steaui squad. He ended his player’s career with performances for the Dynamo club from the city of Slatina in 1974.
Team Career
In total, he played 17 matches with Romania . He went to the 1964 Olympic Games as an amateur, and together with the national team reached the quarter finals of the tournament [6] . His debut in the professional team took place on May 2, 1965 in the qualifying match for the 1966 World Cup against the Turkish team [7] . He took part in four qualifying matches of the national team of six, however, the third place occupied by the national team in his qualifying group did not allow her to qualify for the final stage of the World Cup. Then, after several friendly matches in which he played in 1968, he was involved in the qualifying round games for the 1970 World Cup . However, after registration of the passage to the final stage of the championship, he was not included in the final composition of the team that went to Mexico. He played his last match with the national team on May 17, 1972 in the replay of the 1972 European Championship playoff round against Hungary (the match ended 2-1 in favor of Hungary) [8] .
Coaching career
10 years after the player’s career ended in 1984, he tried himself as a coach by heading the club ASA (Mizil) . In 1988, he became the head coach of the ASA club (Tirgu Mures), speaking in the second division of the Romanian championship. In 1991 he was invited by the head coach to the Steaua club, and was in office for less than a year. In 1994, he headed the club “ Dacia Unirea ”, this club his coaching career is limited to [4] .
