Vladimir Andreevich Litvintsev ( azerb. Vladimir Andreyevich Litvintsev , born February 18, 2001 in Moscow , Russia ) is an Azerbaijani figure skater of Russian origin performing in men's single skating . Winner of the Volvo Open Cup 2018 tournament, silver medalist of Minsk-Arena Ice Star 2018.

Personal life

Litvintsev was born on February 18, 2001 in Moscow. As of January 2019, he is in high school [1] . His older brother Andrei is also a skater [2] .

Career

Early years

Vladimir began to learn to skate in 2004, when he was three years old [1] . He trained at the CSKA Moscow sports club until January 2011, and then moved to Sambo-70, where he is now being trained by Alexei Chetverukhin, Vladimir Kotin and Anastasia Kazakova [2] .

For Russia, he did not appear on the international scene [3] .

2018/2019

In October 2018, Vladimir made his debut for Azerbaijan at the junior stage of the Grand Prix series, becoming the eighth in Ljubljana . Later that month, he first appeared at an adult level, winning a silver medal at the Minsk-Arena Ice Star 2018 tournament. In November, he took gold at the Volvo Open Cup 2018, becoming the first champion in an international tournament. At his first tournament in the Tallinn Trophy 2018 Challenger Series, he finished ninth overall, updating his personal bests in the free program and for the total amount of points.

In January 2019, Litvintsev took part in the European Championship 2019 , which was held in Minsk . He took the fourteenth place in the short program and got into the free program. The Litvintsev tournament finished in sixteenth place [4] .
