Rumnitsky, Ivan Mikhailovich

Ivan Mikhailovich Rumnitsky (? - 1839 ) - Russian doctor.

Born in the late 1770s. Came from the nobles .

Around 1799 he received the title of doctor. For 40 years he served at the Imperial Educational Home and gained exceptional experience in the treatment of childhood diseases. Therefore, he was widely known and had great practice. He was especially kind to the young doctors who began practical activities under his guidance.

Also in the period 1813-1824 he was a doctor at the Mariinsky Institute [1] .

He did not leave printed works, although he followed the latest discoveries and observations in medicine.

He died in the rank of headquarters doctor and in the rank of state adviser in St. Petersburg on March 21 ( April 2 ), 1839 .
