Yrban ( Tuv. Yrban ) is a village in Todzhinsky kozhuune of the Republic of Tyva . The administrative center and the only town of Sumona Yrban . The population is 363 people (2007), 307 (2014) [2] .

Content
History
In 1959, a state commission was created for the growing Tuva in need of wood to search for a site for the future large timber industry enterprise. The State Commission chose the multi-kilometer forest "Arban" in the floodplain of the Yenisei. For the construction of the village took 25 hectares a hundred meters from the channel, in the protection against flooding. Provided and landing area for aircraft.
In 1960, an elementary school was opened on Promyshlennaya Street.

The village is located at the confluence of the river. Big Yenisei its tributary - p. Kuut-Tyt , in Todzha basin .

Famous residents
Since 1970, Bronislav Lashevich, Honored Worker of Health of the USSR, Honored Healthcare Worker of Tuva, lives and works in Yrban [13] .
The honorary title “Honored Worker of Education of the Russian Federation” was awarded to a teacher from the Irban school: Babushkina Lyubov, a primary school teacher, Lazareva Galina, a teacher of Russian language and literature, Lyubukhina Lyubov, a teacher of geography and biology.
