Biography
Sadriddin Akhmedov was born on January 31, 1998 in the South Kazakhstan region, in the small town of Zhetysay . In addition to him, the family has four older brothers and three sisters. A rare name was given to him by his own aunt along the line of Father Alikhan. Sadriddin translated from Arabic means "Pride of Islam" [1] . In 2015, during the opening of the annual international tournament in Karaganda in memory of Galym Zharylgapov, gloves with his own autograph were presented to young Akhmedov by the legendary American boxer Roy Jones Jr. , who often visits Kazakhstan . According to Sadriddin, these gloves became his talisman and will certainly bring him good luck.
Amateur Career
At the age of 10, he got to the honored trainer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulet Mustafin. In school years, Akhmedov won a number of different tournaments, and then was called up to the youth team of Kazakhstan.
In November 2016, he won the Youth World Championship 2016 in St. Petersburg , Russia , beating Pavlo Gul, a Ukrainian in the final, [2] . And he was recognized as the best young boxer of the Year in Kazakhstan.
The 19-year-old boxer was invited to the adult national team of Kazakhstan, where he began to compete with the 2016 Olympic champion Daniyar Eleusinov and the 2017 World Championship medalist Ablaykhan Zhusupov for the right to be the first number in the “Kazakh” weight up to 69 kilograms.
In April 2017, the prestigious King Cup in Bangkok ( Thailand ) won in this weight, and the silver medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Uzbek Shahram Giyasov did not enter the final fight with him [3] .
In June 2017, he won the Cup of the President of Kazakhstan in Astana [4] , winning the final of Uzbek Bobo-Usmon Baturov , who a year later became the champion of the Summer Asian Games in Jakarta , defeating another Kazakh boxer Aslanbek Shymbergenov in the final.
Career Pros
In October 2017, Akhmedov decided to switch to professionals [5] . He signed a contract with the Canadian promoter company Eye of the Tiger Managament, which includes other Kazakh boxers Batyr Dzhukembaev , Abylaykhan Khusainov and Nurzat Sabirov [6] .
Sadriddin Akhmedov made his debut in the pro ring on April 7, 2018 at the Videotron Center ( Quebec City , Canada ) and knocked out Mexican Tony Barreras (1-1, 1 KO) nicknamed Tiburón (Shark) at 31 seconds of the battle [7] . And then he received the nickname - Arturo Gatti for his aggressive fighting style [8] .
On May 26, he defeated Argentine Ariel Alejandro Zampedri (9-3, 9 KOs) nicknamed El Toro (Bull) by knockout in 1 min. 24 sec
The next opponent on June 16 was an experienced Mexican 38-year-old Gustavo Garibay (13-10-2, 5 KOs), nicknamed Vitaminas (Vitamin), who lost by technical knockout in the fifth of six rounds [9] .
In the fourth fight on October 13, Sadriddin put 29-year-old Mexican Jesús Javier Mendoza (7-5-1, 6 KOs) nicknamed Zurdo (Lefthander) in 57 seconds [10] as part of the undercard of the evening of boxing in Canadian Quebec.
In the fifth fight, on November 24, he knocked out another Mexican, Jose Francisco Zuniga (14-11-2, 5 KOs), nicknamed Pepito in the second round of 6 planned [11] .
In the sixth battle on December 14 in Edmonton (Canada) another Mexican Eliud Melendez Rocha (14-10-2, 7 KOs), nicknamed Morro (Nosy), fell. The fight again ended ahead of schedule at 82 seconds of the first of 8 rounds [12] .
In the seventh fight on January 24, 2019, in the first title fight for the title of “youth” world champion according to the WBC, Akhmedov won by technical knockout in the fourth round against 22-year-old Abraham Juarez ( Mexico ) (13-1, 5 KO), nicknamed Pit Bull. The fight took place as part of a boxing evening in Montreal, Canada and was designed for 10 rounds [13] .
March 24, 2019 held his eighth fight at a pro-boxing evening in Almaty . The rival of the 21-year-old Kazakhstani was a fighter from Indonesia, John Ruba (17-5-1, 9 KOs), nicknamed Fox (Fox). At stake was the vacant WBC Asia middleweight title. The duel went through all ten rounds and ended with Akhmedov's confident victory by unanimous decision [14] . But, as it turned out, Akhmedov broke his arm in this battle and was out of action for three months [15] .
His next fight was on June 29 in Canada with 33-year-old Mexican Daniel Vega Cota (14-3-1, 11 KO) nicknamed El Muñeco (Doll) and knocked him out after 90 seconds [16] .

On August 3, 2019, Sadriddin married Akbote Kurmangali, a former soloist of the Kazakhstani women's group " KeshYou " [17] .
