He achieved major successes in the early 1930s. In 1931, he became the silver medalist of the Catalan championship . [1] [2] In 1932, he won the National Tournament in Valencia and obtained the right to challenge the Spanish champion in the match against current title holder R. Ray Ardid . [3] The match took place the following year in Barcelona and ended with the defeat of Casas with a score of 1: 5 (without a draw). [four]
