Debdeb ( Arabic. دبداب ) is a small town and commune in the east of Algeria , Illizi wilayet . Included in the county of In-Amenas .

Geographical position
The city is located in the northeast of the vilayet, within the northern part of the Sahara , near the state border with Libya , at a distance of approximately 947 kilometers southeast of the country's capital, Algeria .
The municipality of Debdeb is bordered by the Bordj-Omar-Driss and In-Amenas communes, as well as the territories of the Ouargl , Libya and Tunisia vilayet. Its area is 31,537 km².
Climate
The city’s climate is characterized as arid hot ( BWh in the Köppen climate classification ). There is practically no precipitation during the year (the average annual amount is 30 mm). The average annual temperature is 22.3 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest month (January) is 10.4 ° C; the hottest month (July) is 32.5 ° C. [1] .
Population
According to the official census of 2008, the population of the commune was 4,341 people. The proportion of the male population was 52.2%, and the female population, respectively 47.8% [2] . The literacy rate of the population was 71.8%. The literacy rate among men was 79.9%, among women 63% [3] . 4% of Debdeb residents had a higher education, 13.2% - secondary education [4] .

Through the city passes the national highway N53.
