Biography
Born September 20, 1982 in Kampala, Uganda, where he graduated from high school [2] .
He graduated from the Theological Institute of the University of Athens and was a brother of the monastery Μονή Παναγίας Σκιαδενής in the Rhodes Metropolis .
On September 8, 2013, Metropolitan Cyril of Rhodes (Koerakis) was ordained to the rank of hierodeacon , and on September 8, 2014 - to the rank of hieromonk .
In 2015, it was accepted into the jurisdiction of the Alexandrian Orthodox Church and elevated to the rank of archimandrite . He served in the monastery of St. Sava in Alexandria.
December 16, 2018, in the Cathedral of Saint Sava in Alexandria, the Patriarch of Alexandria Theodore , Metropolitans Kampala Jonah (Luanga) , Rhodes Cyril (Koerakis) (Patriarch of Constantinople), Accra Narcissus (Gammohom) , Memphis Nikosimod Nimodim (Priemodom) Nycometom Nimosymod (Priest) and Bishop of Olympia Cyril (Papanfim) (Patriarch of Constantinople) was consecrated bishop of Gulu and Eastern Uganda [3] .
On January 23, 2019, he arrived in Kampala from Greece and was introduced to the country's leadership and Orthodox parishioners at the liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral, Metropolitan Jonah of Kampala (Luanga) [1] .
Intronization is scheduled for February 17, 2019 in the Orthodox parish of St. Lawrence in the Koro district, Gulu municipality and February 24, 2019 in the Orthodox parish of the Holy Resurrection in the city of Jinja [4] .
