Quotes

The image of the native land and the image of the native people, as well as the features of its national life are recreated by the lines in the poems of V. Romanov, dedicated to the difficult military childhood of the lyrical hero, whose soul is rich in both his own experience and the experience of his fathers. It is no accident that the theme of war, the soldier's theme, merging with the theme of the connection of generations, give rise to a storyline: grandfather — father — son. The poet and his hero reflect on the world, on the civil and Great Patriotic Wars, on the complexity of life, on poetry, permeating the most mundane, at first glance, objects and phenomena.

- Zoya Bogomolova [2]

I did not understand much then, but I remembered his words. Just as he remembered his poetic lessons, which have become more valuable to me than the maxims of many eminent literary professors that I later met in different cities of our country and abroad. Vladimir Romanov was a born literary mentor. After all, what he was talking about was the real life of the great Poet. He conveyed what he felt literally with his skin - naturally.

- Vyacheslav Ar-Sergi [3]
