He was one of the strongest chess players in Spain at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s.
As a member of the Spanish national team, a participant in the Chess Olympiad of 1928 performed on the 3rd board. Within the framework of the Olympiad, he played 16 games, of which 2 he won (against Y. Gemze and E. Sapira ), 3 ended in a draw (with V. Gilze , M. Duchamp and J. de Nardo ) and 11 lost ( G. Shtalberg , V. M. Petrov , I. Goodyou , J. van den Bosch , K. Havashi , F. Gigli , L. Palau , L. Prokesh , B. Hoenlinger , T. Regedzinsky and E. Tolfsen ).
Member of the international tournament in Barcelona (1929). He scored 3 points out of 14 (+ 2-10 = 2) and divided 13-14 places. [one]
