Geography
Neighboring settlements: in the north - the village of Vuchketsy , in the southeast - the village of Dobranetsy of the Geda commune, in the south - the village of Vulki-Vosyk , in the west - the village of Gorni-Vuyozd and in the north-west - the villages of Mali-Vosyk and Neradets [2] .
The village is not included in the official Luzhitsky settlement region .
History
First mentioned in 1240 under the name Panewicz [3] .
From 1936 to 1973, it was part of the Groschenchen commune, and from 1973 to 1994, it was part of the commune of Uchist am Taucher. Since 1994 it has been part of the modern commune of Burkau [4] .
