Akamans ( dr. Greek Ἀκάμας, Ἀκάμαντος , "tireless"). In ancient Greek mythology [1] - a participant in the Trojan War , the son of Theseus and Fedra [2] , the eponym of the Attic phylum Akamantida [3] , a statue in Delphi [4] .
After the expulsion of Theseus from Athens , Akamans and his half-brother Demofont left for Euboea . When the youths matured, they joined the Ebeyans in the Trojan War on the side of the Greeks . He participated in competitions in honor of Achilles, performed in fist fight [5] . The daughter of Priam Laodik fell in love with Akamant and gave birth to his son Munit [6] .
Tradition mentions Akamant as one of the daredevils who hid in the Trojan horse [7] . Depicted in the painting Polygnot at Delphi among the participants in the capture of Troy [8] . During the capture of Troy, Akamant and Demofont released the mother of Theseus Efra .
He founded the city in Cyprus [9] . Sometimes referred to as Phyllida's lover [10] . He was considered the founder of the city of Akamantium in Phrygia [11] .
