Jung Jae Sung ( cor. 정재성 ? , 鄭 在 成? , , - , ) - South Korean badminton player , played for the South Korean badminton team in the period 2000-2012. The bronze medalist of the Summer Olympic Games in London , the silver and bronze medalist of the World Championships, the holder of silver and bronze medals of the Sudirman Cup, the champion of Asia, the silver and bronze medalist of the Asian Games.

Biography
Jung Jae Sung was born on August 25, 1982 in Jeonju City, Jeolla Pucto Province, South Korea . He started playing badminton at the age of seven while studying at a local elementary school.
In 2000, he became a member of the South Korean national team, became the winner of the Junior World Cup in China and the Asian Championship among juniors in Japan.
He achieved his first major success at the adult level in the 2005 season by winning the doubles silver medal at the Asian Championships in Hyderabad.
In 2006, he attended the Asian Games in Doha , from where he brought silver and bronze medals won in the men's team and doubles respectively.
In 2007, he won the silver doubles medal at the World Championships in Kuala Lumpur , and received bronze at the Sudirman Cup in Glasgow .
Thanks to a series of successful performances, he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , but could not get here among the winners, along with his partner Lee Young Dae took the ninth place in doubles.
After the Beijing Olympics, Jung remained part of the South Korean badminton team and continued to take part in major international tournaments. So, in 2009, he became the silver medalist of the world championship in Hyderabad and took silver at the Surdirman Cup in Guangzhou .
At the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, he won a silver medal in the men's team championship and a bronze medal in the men's team.
In 2011, he added to the track record the bronze award won in pairs at the World Championships in London , and the bronze award received in the standings of mixed teams at the Surdirman Cup in Qingdao .
Being among the leaders of the South Korean national team, I successfully passed the selection for the 2012 Olympic Games in London - this time with the same partner Lee Yong Dae managed to reach the semi-finals stage and then won the bronze medal in doubles. At the end of this Olympics, Jung decided to end his sports career.
He died of a heart attack on March 9, 2018 at the age of 35 years [3] [4] [5] .
