Amphics

Amphichtes [1] ( Latin Amphichthys , from other Greek amphi - on both sides and Ίχθύς - fish [2] ) is a genus of marine ray- fin fish from the family Batrachoididae. Representatives of the genus are distributed along the Atlantic coast of Central and South America from Panama to Brazil . The body length is up to 40 cm [3] . These are bottom predatory fish waiting for prey in ambush.
