Story
The film tells about the musical life of Manchester in 1976-1992, starting with the awakening caused by punk rock , and ending with the flourishing of the legendary club FAC51 The Hacienda, raves and Madchester . The film is being played on behalf of Tony Wilson (played by Steve Coogan ), a television reporter, music promoter and owner of an independent label Factory Records , which recorded local bands such as Joy Division , New Order , Happy Mondays . The script of the film is written according to the eponymous memoirs of Wilson himself.
After the release of the film was released an album with a sound track.
