Exterior Structure
The body length is 6-10 mm [1] . The apex of the third segment of the antennae is covered with setae. Frontal stripe wide and shiny. Antennal fossa brilliant, well expressed. In the orbits around the eyes are two setae. There is a large velvety spot around the anterior orbital setae, sometimes reaching the posterior orbital setae. Prothoracic sternite, mesopleura and pteroplera bare. Wings darkened with mesh patterns. There is one seta on top of hind tibia [2] . Legs are yellowish-brown or black [1] . The eggs are elongated and slightly curved, brown, 0.52 mm long, 0.22 mm wide. The surface of the egg is ribbed [3] .
Biology
The female lays eggs on the body of terrestrial shell mollusks [4] . Larvae are parasites and predators of mollusks of the families Eulotidae , Helicidae , Cochlicopidae and Endotondidae [2] [5] . One generation is developing annually. They hibernate at the larva or pupae stage [6] . Found on meadows and pastures [7] [8] .
