Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2016) [1] , Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (2002), Professor (2001). Since 2003, the director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Pulses and Cereal Crops, which has been headed for 15 years, is now the Scientific Director of the Federal Scientific Center for Grain-Beans and Cereal Crops. Biography
He graduated from the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute (1971), now it is the Kazakh Agrotechnical University . Then he went to the alma mater from an agronomist of an educational and experimental farm and a researcher to the first vice-rector (1993–2002), before the last in 1986–1993. Head of Department and Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy. In 1982 he defended his thesis "Growing oats in summer crops on irrigated lands with the aim of obtaining green mass", in 2002 - doctoral thesis "Theoretical basis for increasing yields and protein content in the aerial mass of annual forage crops in the northern regions of Kazakhstan." Since 2003 he has been working at Oryol State Agrarian University. For many years he headed the department of plant physiology and biotechnology. Chairman of the Public Council at the Department of Agriculture of the Oryol region [5] .

He was awarded the Medal of the Order for Services to the Fatherland, II degree [6] , diplomas of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Governor of the Oryol region (2008 [7] ), a commemorative medal to them. A.I.Baraeva, the sign "Excellence in Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
He has published over 300 scientific papers, including five monographs, among the latter, in particular, “Biochemistry of grain and large crops” (2010).
