Biography
He served for 4 years on a contract with the National People's Army (NNA) . After that, he studied medicine at the Jena University named after Friedrich Schiller and received his doctorate in 2005 [2] . He worked as a resident physician, and later as chief physician in Hera. As a specialist in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine, he opened a private medical practice for patients served under the compulsory health insurance program, and in 2017 - his own private orthopedic practice in Gera.
Since 2018, Schlund has been a member of the Subcommittee on Disarmament, Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, as well as Deputy Speaker of the AdH faction of the Bundestag Health Committee.
