In 1910, the Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was built in the village on the initiative of the Serbluzhitsky society of Cyril and Methodius . In 1889 a school was opened (today it is called as the "Old School").

From 1892 to the present every year from the village on Easter morning the Easter Cavalcade to Radvor takes place.

Until 1962, the village was the administrative center of the Spittvitz municipality with the settlements of Gaslov, Pozdetsa , Liboni and Chornets. From 1962 to 1994, it was part of the Prischwitz commune. Since 1994, it has been part of the modern commune of Göda [4] .

Currently, the village is part of the cultural and territorial autonomy of the “ Luzhitsky Settlement Region ”, on the territory of which there are legislative acts of the lands of Saxony and Brandenburg, contributing to the preservation of the Luzhitsky languages and the culture of Luzhic [5] [6] .
