Khabarovskaya CHPP-2 is a thermal power plant (currently a boiler house ) in the city of Khabarovsk . The oldest operating energy facility in Khabarovsk (commissioned in 1934). It is part of the Far Eastern Generating Company JSC (part of the RusHydro Group), a branch of the Khabarovsk Heating Network Company.

Station Design
By design, the Khabarovskaya CHPP-2 is a boiler room (electricity generation equipment dismantled) that produces hot water (mainly) and steam, installed heat capacity - 610 Gcal / h (including steam boilers - 60 Gcal / hour, hot water boilers - 550 Gcal / hour), the available heat capacity as of 2017 is 490 Gcal / hour. Natural gas of the Sakhalin deposits is used as the main fuel, and reserve fuel is fuel oil . Fuel oil is also the main fuel for two boilers of the station, taken out of constant operation. The main equipment of the station includes:
- 2 steam boilers B-50 / 14-250, one of which (station number 4) is taken out of constant operation and is in reserve;
- 3 PTVM-50 hot water boilers, one of which (station number 3) has been taken out of permanent operation and mothballed since 2011;
- 2 hot water boilers PTVM-100;
- 2 hot water boilers KGVM-100.
Boiler equipment was commissioned in 1970-1994. Water for technical water supply is supplied from the Amur River and the city water supply [1] .
History of construction and operation
The first power station in Khabarovsk was built with private funds back in 1906. But by the beginning of the 1930s, its capacity of 120 kW, as well as the capacity of several other small power plants, was not enough, and in 1931 the construction of the Khabarovsk city power station (HES) was started. The new power plant was commissioned on February 20, 1934. In 1957, the station, which by that time had changed its name to the Khabarovsk city communal power station, was transferred to Khabarovskenergo (at that time its electric capacity was 6 MW), in 1960 it was renamed the Khabarovsk TPP-2. In 1961, the reconstruction of the station was carried out, which allowed to increase the heat supply, another major reconstruction with the installation of boiler equipment (currently used) was carried out in the 1970s, while in 1970 four old boilers and both turbogenerators were dismantled, the station stopped generating electricity and finally switched to boiler room mode. In 1974, the Khabarovsk CHP-2 was transferred from coal to fuel oil [2] . In 2008, seven of the nine boilers of the station were converted from fuel oil to gas [3] [4] .
Until 2007, Khabarovskaya CHPP-2 was part of Khabarovskenergo OJSC, and is currently a structural subdivision of the Khabarovsk Heating Network Company branch of DGK JSC. As a separate structural unit (boiler room No. 2), the Khabarovsk CHP-2 organizationally includes the Urgals boiler room with a thermal capacity of 70.2 Gcal / h. Khabarovsk CHP-2 operates only in the heating period in the mode of a boiler room [5] .
