Biography
Born in 1928.
In 1942, he began his career as a turner apprentice in the tool shop of the Krasnoyarsk Steam Locomotive Plant, and was enlisted in the Komsomol-youth brigade of Viktor Shevelev [1] .
During the war he worked with overfulfillment of production standards and in 1945 at the age of 17 he was awarded the medal “For Labor Distinction” [1] .
After military service in the Soviet Army in 1950-1953. He returned to the factory and continued to work as a lathe toolroom.
In 1966, I. I. Shalkov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor for outstanding achievements in fulfilling the seven-year plan for the development of the national economy of the USSR and achieving high technical and economic performance indicators [1] .
He lived in Krasnoyarsk [2] .
