Ali Magomedovich Aliev (born June 2, 1983 , Ruguja , USSR ) is a Russian boxer , representative of the lightest weight category. He played for the Russian national boxing team in the mid-2000s, European champion, two-time Russian champion, winner and winner of many tournaments of republican and national significance. Biography

Ali Aliyev was born on June 2, 1983 in the village of Ruguja, Gunibsky District, Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . He studied at secondary school No. 4 in Makhachkala , then entered the Dagestan State Pedagogical University , where in 2005 and 2008 he graduated from sports and law faculties, respectively.

He began to actively engage in boxing at the age of thirteen in 1996, was trained at the Specialized Children and Youth Sports Schools of the Olympic Reserve in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk , trained under the guidance of R. A. Rabadanov and E. A. Kotov [1] .

He first made his name in 2004, when in the lightest weight category he won a bronze medal at the Russian Championship in Samara , losing to Eduard Abzalimov at the semifinal stage. A year later, he won the national championship in Magnitogorsk , taking revenge in the final against Abzalimov. He joined the main team of the Russian national team and thanks to a series of successful performances he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the World Championships in Mianyang - here, however, he could not get into the number of winners, he lost in the 1/8 finals. A year later, at the Russian championship in Khanty-Mansiysk he defended his championship title, again became the best boxer of the country in his weight.

He achieved the greatest success in the international arena in the 2006 season - at the European Championships in Bulgarian Plovdiv, he defeated all his rivals in the bantamweight, including Bulgaria’s representative Detelin Dalakliev in the final, and thereby won the golden dignity.

Soon after the end of these competitions, he decided to end his sports career, giving way to Sergei Vodopyanov . For outstanding sports achievements he was awarded the honorary title " Master of Sports of Russia of the international class ."
