The album contains almost no musical numbers, the overwhelming place here is occupied by humorous sketches and monologues. Most of the jokes are about the stars: Madonna ( " Like a virgin ...? Which is touched for the first time ...? For the first time for these knocks!" ), Also got Meryl Streep , Bruce Springsteen , Olivia Newton-John and others. The accompanist for the piano was Mark Sheiman. You can also hear Midler perform the song “Otto Titsling”, which in three years she will include in the soundtrack to the film “ On the Beach ”. Stand-up performance was recorded on video, small videos were also made, in which the actress depicts four different characters.
For the album, Bette Midler was awarded the American Comedy Awards in the category “The funniest recording of the year” [2] .
The album was originally released on vinyl , in 1989 its CD version was released. At the moment, this is the only Midler album, which has never been republished and is not for sale now.
