Sports career

In November 1942, Yop made his debut as part of the Ajax football club ^[1] . The first game in the Dutch championship was held on November 1 in Rotterdam against the local club of the ^[1] . The meeting ended with the defeat of his team with a score of 6: 3 ^[2] . In total, in the debut season, he took part in one meeting of the national championship ^[3] . According to the results of the 1942/43 season, Ajax took sixth place in its western group and could not reach the final part of the Dutch championship ^[3] .

In the 1943/44 season, he played in three championship matches ^[4] . For the first time this season, he entered the starting lineup on October 17, 1943 in a home game against from Delft , playing as a right-handed midfielder ^[5] . At the stadium " De Mer " Amsterdam lost to the score 0-2 ^[5] . The last time in the championship went on the field on October 31, 1943 in a match with the club “ ” from Hilversum ^[1] . At the end of May 1944 he took part in several exhibition matches of Ajax, which was represented mainly by reserve players, including Wim Herking and Wim Klassen ^[6] ^[7] .
