History
The college traces its history from the Maikop district pedagogical school, created in 1925 by the decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR. The Pedagogical College has become a forge of personnel for almost all sectors of the national economy. The origins of the formation and development of the vocational education system were the chairman of the Adyghe Oblast Executive Committee Hakurate, Shakhan-Girey Umarovich and the head of the Oblon S. Kh. Siyukhov.
The Adyghe Pedagogical College trained elementary school teachers, education instructors, lecturers and event organizers. [one]
On the basis of the Adygea Pedagogical College in 1940, a teacher institute was created, now Adygea State University (ASU).
The educational institution has trained more than 20 thousand specialists, including well-known scientists, writers, teachers and educators of schools and preschool educational institutions, artists and athletes.
In 1967, the educational institution was named after the graduate, poet Husen Andrukhayev .
Teachers College has a well-equipped hostel with 213 beds.
For many years, the teacher training college has been working closely with the Adygea State University , interacting in educational, scientific research and scientific and methodological work. Each year, about 90% of college graduates on a competitive basis continue their studies at the faculties of ASU in full-time and part-time forms of education. [2]
