Description
Small stocky wasps with a sedentary abdomen (males length from 7.3 to 8.7 mm, females from 9.2 to 10.3 mm), the main color is black, the tips of the mandibles are yellowish-brown, the body is covered with silver bristles (the belly is golden). It differs from closely related species by the following features: propodeum with an irregular longitudinal keel separating the sides from the top; clypeal lamella tridentate; short straight setae on cheeks; forehead with small punctures. The inner edges of the eyes are bordered by the keel, the attachment point of the antennae is in contact with the frontoclypeal suture. Wings with 3 submarginal (radio-medial) cells, the second of which is stalked [1] . Presumably, like other species, they catch spiders , and the nests are located in the finished cavities (xylophage passages, in branches, or from clay) [1] [2] [3] . The species was first described in 2018 during an audit conducted by the American hymenopterologist Wojciech Pulawski ( Wojciech J. Pulawski ; California Academy of Sciences , San Francisco , USA ) [1] .
