Biography and career

Samana Davis was born on June 21, 1964 in Kidderminster (County Worcestershire , England , UK ) in the family of Michael and Debbie Davis.

She received high praise for her roles as a teenage prostitute in Mona Lisa (1986) and Rainbow (1989) by Ken Russell . She also played significant roles in Mike Hodges ' Worship Prayer and John Burman 's Hope and Glory (both 1987), as well as a major role in the American television series Behind the Rear "(1991-1993) [2] , for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. After several years of interruption in her career for the sake of her family, she returned to the screen in a cameo role in the TV series Lost , playing the role of the mother of the hero Dominic Monaghan . She works as a photographer.

In 1990-1993, Sammi was married to director Kurt Foss from whom she has a daughter. Since June 21, 2009, Davis has been married for the second time to the producer of the children's television show Simon Drew. On Christmas Day 2008, she returned to the UK and now lives in Sussex with her family.
