The parliamentary elections in El Salvador took place on March 12, 2003 , at which 84 deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the country were elected for a 3-year term. At the same time, elections were held in the Central American Parliament and in municipal councils [1] . The ruling Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA) received the most seats.
