About the album
In addition to live versions of songs, the album contains two new songs recorded in the studio, “You're Moving Out Today” and “Bang, You're Dead”. The first was released as a single and reached the forty-second line of the Billboard Hot 100 and the eleventh of Adult Contemporary ; The second song was included in the album instead of the planned “I Sold My Heart To The Junkman”, as the authors Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson put out an ultimatum: either the song will be included in this album, or they give it to another artist. Also present on the album are comic monologues of Bette Midler, in particular, her famous scene about Sophie Tucker was performed.
The record reached forty-ninth place on the Billboard 200 album chart.
