Peruvian mackerel ( Scomberomorus sierra ) is a species of fish from the mackerel family. It lives in the eastern Pacific Ocean from southern California in the north to Antofagasta in Chile in the south [1] . The species is often mistakenly called a synonym or subspecies of Scomberomorus maculatus .

The usual length is 60 cm. The maximum recorded weight was 8.2 kg.
IUCN has assigned the conservation status LC [1] to the species.
