Aumada ( Spanish: Ahumada ) is a municipality in Mexico , Chihuahua with an administrative center in the city of Miguel Aumada . The population according to the 2010 census was 11,457 people.

General information
The name Ahumada is given in honor of the Governor Miguel Aumada .
The area of the municipality is 16910 km², which is 6.83% of the total state area [3] , and the highest point is 1680 meters, located in the village of El Profundo [1] .
It borders with other municipalities of the state of Chihuahua: in the north of Juarez , in the east with Guadalupe and Coyame del Sotol , in the south with Chihuahua , in the west with Buenaventura , and in the northwest with Asension [4] .

According to statistics from 2000, the working population is employed by sectors of the economy in the following proportions: agriculture, livestock and fishing - 22.4%, industry and construction - 36.3%, services and tourism - 35.6%, etc. - 5.7% [3] .
