Aumada ( Spanish: Ahumada ) is a municipality in Mexico , Chihuahua with an administrative center in the city of Miguel Aumada . The population according to the 2010 census was 11,457 people.

General information

The name Ahumada is given in honor of the Governor Miguel Aumada .

The area of ​​the municipality is 16910 km², which is 6.83% of the total state area [3] , and the highest point is 1680 meters, located in the village of El Profundo [1] .

It borders with other municipalities of the state of Chihuahua: in the north of Juarez , in the east with Guadalupe and Coyame del Sotol , in the south with Chihuahua , in the west with Buenaventura , and in the northwest with Asension [4] .
