Classification
There are three main groups of photosetting automata depending on the type of drawing of the photographic material (displacement relative to the laser):
- Capstan The film moves in the same plane, progressively, the laser beam moves in a plane perpendicular to the film using a multi-faceted prism .
- With external drum . The film is fixed on the outer surface of the drum, which rotates. Exposure is carried out by a matrix of laser diodes , which moves parallel to the axis of the drum.
