Biography
Born in the Tomsk region, in 1951 he arrived in Omsk. In 1952, under the leadership of Yuri Sapozhnikov, he began to engage in classical wrestling. Champion of the CS DSO "Vodnik" in Gomel (1955), Bronze medalist of the RSFSR championship (1958), silver medalist of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the RSFSR (1950). Master of Sports of the USSR.
In 1960 he graduated from the Omsk State Institute of Physical Education.
Being in a coaching job in the DSO “Labor Reserves” until 1990, he trained more than 50 masters of sports, including Honored Master of Sports, five-time world champion Viktor Igumenov ; world champion among railway workers Yuri Grigoryev ; USSR champion Hafiz Timashev and others.
