“Not Giving Up on Love” is a song by the Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren , recorded with the participation of British singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor , released on August 20, 2010 via Armada Music Records . The song became the second single from Buren's Mirage album and the fourth from Bextor's Make a Scene album. In 2011, the song was nominated for the “International Dance Music Awards” in the categories “Best Dance Track” and “Best Trans-Track”, in which it won [1] .

Content
Creation and Release
The song was written by Australian authors Olivia and Miriam Nervo, as well as Sophie Ellis-Bextor [2] . The song premiered on July 11, 2010 at the show “The Dermot O'Leary Show” on BBC Radio 2 , where Sophie performed her acoustic version [3] . On August 12 in the program “ A State of Trance ” the instrumental part sounded for the first time, Buren played an elongated version of the track. On August 20, the single was released.
Music video
The video for “Not Giving Up on Love” was shot in Ibiza , Spain , by British video maker Sophie Muller , who had previously shot videos for Bextor on hits such as “ Murder on the Dancefloor ” and “ Music Gets the Best of Me ” and others [ 4] . Filming also took place in August at the Amnesia Club in San Antonio Abad . According to Buren, the shooting in the club took place in just one night, at the same time the song sounded live for the first time, its performance was shot from one take [5] . The premiere on MTV took place on August 17, 2010 [6] .
Critical Reception
The single received warm reviews from critics, mostly they noted the atmosphere of the song and video clip. Positive reviews were given by reviewers from Allmusic [2] , BBC Music [7] , Digital Spy [8] [9] , Clixie Music [10] , Sputnikmusic [11] and others.
