Sergei Dmitrievich Turyshev (September 25 (October 8), 1906, Uzhga village, Uzhginsky volost, Ust-Sysolsky district, Vologda province, Russian Empire [1] - April 2, 1974, Syktyvkar) - Soviet party and state figure in the Komi ASSR , chairman of the Council of People’s commissars of the Komi ASSR (1939-1945) and the Council of Ministers of the Komi ASSR (1947-1950).

Biography
Born into a poor peasant family. In 1921 he graduated from the Kaygorod Secondary School, 2nd level [2] . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1938; in 1938-1939, the third and second secretary of the city committee of the CPSU (b) in Syktyvkar, from September 1939 to 1945, chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Komi ASSR. In 1945-1947 he was a student of the Higher School of Party Organizers at the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks , in 1947-1950 he was chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, in 1951-1953 he was the deputy head of the Voyvozhneft trust for political affairs, in 1953 1957 Minister of Public Utilities of the Komi ASSR. In 1939-1950 he was elected a member of the bureau of the regional committee of the CPSU (b), in 1938-1951 and 1955 - a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Komi ASSR [2] . In November 1950, he was reprimanded by decision of the Komi regional bureau and was expelled from it. In 1957 he retired from work [1] .
In 1943 he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, in 1945 - the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" [2] .
