Lubensky Forestry College ( Ukrainian: Lubensky Forestry College ) is a higher educational institution in the city of Lubny, Poltava region .

Content
History
In 1891 [1] a lower agricultural school was opened in the county town of Lubny, Lubensky district of the Poltava province of the Russian Empire , [2] .
After the end of the civil war, the educational institution resumed work - first as an agricultural school, then as an industrial vocational school, and since 1929 - as the Lubensky College of Medicinal Plants [3] .
During the hostilities of the Great Patriotic War and during the German occupation (September 13, 1941 - April 18, 1943), the educational institution was damaged, but was later restored and resumed work [3] .
In 1950, the educational institution was transformed into a forestry college [3] [4] [5] .
After the independence of Ukraine, the college was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine [6] .
In March 1995, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine entered the College into the list of enterprises, institutions and organizations whose privatization is prohibited due to their national importance [6] .
In March 2000, on the basis of the technical school and the Lubensky forestry enterprise, the educational and production complex Lubensky State Forestry Technical College was created , and in 2005 it was reorganized into the Lubensky Forestry College .
In 2011, the number of students in college was over 500 people [1] .
In December 2014, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to transfer a number of educational institutions of the country (including the Lubensky Forestry College) to financing from local budgets [7] .
Current status
The college is a higher educational institution of I-II levels of accreditation, which provides training for junior specialists in three specialties ("Forestry", "Woodworking" and "Accounting").
The college includes an educational building, two dormitories, a sports complex and a library.
