Geography
The village is located in the eastern part of the Kursk region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the south-western part of the Central Russian Upland , on the left bank of the Somovka River, near its confluence with the Ublya River, about 9 kilometers (straight) to the south-east of the village urban type Gorshechnoe , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 168 meters above sea level [2] .
