Production
The series was partially created through pre-production before it was stopped for an indefinite time. Some series have not yet been launched into production of the series. This was due to the fact that the series was stuck in some "legal disputes." Since then, these “disputes” have been resolved, and by the end of this year, the rights returned to Todd MacFarlane, the director. In an interview on June 2, 2009, MacFarlane said: "I am 85% done with this, I just need to choose a studio, put the music on top, and you're done." In the same interview, MacFarlane also stated that he would like to return the series to HBO because they gave him his “big break” when he first started his own and previous animated series [1] ,
According to Todd MacFarlane's Twitter page , the animation was to find a new home in Hollywood in 2010. In November 2010, MacFarlane said that he was submitting his series to Hollywood and that they were still smoothing out some of the animation methods that would be used [2] . At the New York Comic Con in October 2014, MacFarlane showed the images of Sam and Twitch from the new animated series [3] .
